Walked through the house this weekend and felt gra

Walked through the house this weekend and felt grateful for small progress that we have seen the past days.

All the travertine have been placed out and I was extremly nervouse to see how it will look as part of the stair wall and rest of the space. Came out stunning and warmed up the large tall ceiling area.

🌱 Now we have some important last touches to do around the sky light the coming week as the skylight is getting installed in coming weeks.

🌱 We also did great excerising by doing a full house tour multiple times to also do the proper to do list of what is next to source for coming 2 weeks.

- All missing lights needs to be bought
- Decision on if we should add wood laminate for our bedroom
- Mirrors and cabinets for bathrooms
- Bathroom geasers
- Decide on colors to paint including front door and window

Step by step we will get there.

And extremly grateful everyday to be able to have this journey together.

An update in our house building journey that we ar

An update in our house building journey that we are feeling grateful for is that we managed to fix our staircase slightly with help of microcement and good craftmanship.

Now we have a stair that I can walk down without holding myself or stopping after every few steps 🙌

The only challenge will be to see if our dogs can get up to our bedroom (questionable if our older dog will manage).

In regards of color love this French gray (greenish) color but appears way darker on photo than in real life.

Micro cement and work by: @kibitec (highly recommend their service)

'Little by little adds up' they say when building a new home.

And while in this stage of the project it is so true. We are still feeling like we are so far away from the wished move in date we have.

But despite this feeling we have to acknowledge the work and also fantastic sourcing and coordination it took from my partners side to get the following finalized.

Now we can say that we have:

🌱 All tiled bathrooms
🌱 Micro cemented beautiful stairs
🌱 Our akward stair finally have been improved

An issue with our new build turned into my dream v

An issue with our new build turned into my dream vision for an office.

This happened👇

A stair case was built that felt (still feels) unwalkable.

👉On plan this had to be a round staircase leading up all the way to two different floors. Designed by an architect.

🌱 But what house build has thought us even more is that sometimes with bad news comes new creative ideas to a solution. 🌱

👉 The builder knew this stair was not good to continue on another floor level so he suggested that we create the last floor as its own penthouse room with its own staircase on the roof.

🌱 Which created my dream office vision suddenly. 🌱

Are you a Sunday homebody? My favorite part of the week is calm mornings at home on Sundays.

This is my time to reflect, feel at peace, food prep (explore recipes), nurture our home and plants while at the same time feeling prepared for next week.

The point is not to rush or spend the whole day preparing for the week. As afterall this is a day to feel relaxed and simply do what brings us joy. But instead treat it as a way of self care and nurturing our environment.

And at the same time setting us up for a calmer week with all the to-dos and also fun-dos 🤪
