Creative Office: Active Ark Designed By Joanna Laajisto
Office designs and creative offices have since we started this blog been the spaces that inspire us most. The main reason we get inspired by office spaces is the crave, I myself have for working in cool interior spaces like this one: Active Ark designed by Joanna Laajisto. Of course there was always that crave of wishing to design a space like this – industrial, stylish, functional and bold – but the underneath inspiration purely comes from the desire and career inspiration we get from seeing all the offices in our Creative Office Column.
Already introduced on top…adding on to our Creative Office’s, is today’s design tour of former Active Ark. Active Ark joined their creative forces with some other brands and now goes under the name, Mirum (for the stake of no mix up we will refer to them as Active Ark for now). Active Ark is a creative agency which builds brands and offers marketing services together with digital communication. Wishing to be leaders in their industry there is no surprise that the first impression – and importance of a well presented office space which translates their brand was vital for their success.
Designing an office space for a creative agency must be one of the rewarding and inspiring things to do for a designer focusing on office designs. The agency itself, being creative probably has its own ideas on what they like or don’t in regards of brand messaging which only is an asset to the designer’s knowledge.
This particular design of Joanna Laajisto seems to be a combination of keeping things urban and chic with a bit of a business sense. After all being a branding agency they probably have people joining the office from different types of sectors which the design needs to be adapted for. Even though a business type of feel is sensed through the space there is also that youthful and fresh feel, coming from the splashes of bright colors, reminding the workers that they are working in a current and cool creative agency. I feel that the interior design is one of those ‘I can’t stop looking at the materials and colors’, type of design.
No surprise here from Design Studio 210 blog – is that Joanna knows her design elements. After all these years following Joanna’s designs I still don’t know how she turns all these spaces in to rather minimalist modern spaces which has the right balance between feeling cold and over cluttered. All left to do is…scrolling down to see the rest of this cool office design.
