Welcome to Peaches a cocktail bar located in the heart of Melbourne. Here we have a stunning design story between the client and the design studio Pierce Widera, which resulted in a “colourful cocktail” as the design studio calls it.

It has been a while since we have looked at commercial interior spaces as we have lately gathered inspiration from homes. But when I spotted the Peaches bar I got my inspiration back for bar and restaurant interiors. And with this new found inspiration I contacted the design studio right away, who by the way won Australias emerging Interior design practice award 2019.

For you who have followed my latest blog posts you might not have spotted a lot of colour in the interiors. And might be asking yourself why do I love this interior?

To me this cocktail bar feels fun, relaxed, classy and warm at the same time. The colour palette combined with the lighting, the opulent formed furniture and plenty of greenery just makes this into a fun, vibrant (and feels a bit fancy) space to have a gorgeous cocktail (or two). Adding on to this being a graphic nerd I love the creative use of using the graphics and fonts on the walls.

It is the result of a collaboration between client and designer and is a mixture of ingredients – just as you would expect in a tasty colourful cocktail.

The brief

“Was to create a fun and welcoming environment to reflect the inventive cocktail and food offering. Additionally, we decided to break every rule in the book of conventional cocktail bar design.”

Seating LED lights gives the booths a luxury feel and also reminds a bit of an 80’s disco feel.
