Creative Office: JWT Advertising Agency in Finland
Let us start this week with touring an inspiring creative office. Glancing at us here is, JWT – an international digital advertising agency located in Helsinki, Finland. This contemporary office space has a cool and relaxed vibe to it, something we favor in offices due to its creative feel.
–
A chill out area with ample of comfortable seating and research material makes any lunch break creative and fun.It could also act like a casual meeting place with those – little extra – creative clients.
–
On the wall spotted is a three dimensional text with places of cities the agency have offices in. Asimple idea which shows the company’s international flavor. It might also act as an inspiration for workers who seeks to go abroad.
The master behind this creative office space is Finish interior designer, Joanna Laajisto. She and her team executed an excellent office interior; it is functional, creative, speaks to the company’s brand and have ample of interest. To give an example, the interest is well spoken through the structure of the building – that breathtaking vaulted ceiling. Now tell me, who wouldn’t feel inspired working in a space with a ceiling as such?
–
Here is the lovely ceiling again. Not only is it gorgeous to look at and makes the raw and more masculine feel of the interior a bit softer. It also has a wrapping effect – it is almost like the ceiling wraps around the workers, brings them closer and as a result improving teamwork.
–
Spot the splashes of bright colors against the white office furniture.
Being an advertising agency – a profession which takes a lot of creative decisions, there might be no surprise that the color scheme and style is rather on the subtle scale. Keeping a clean slate background is often the better option when a company, on a daily basis, needs to concept build. Less distraction from the office interior is always helpful. Important though is that the environment is not mundane or boring as it will have a contrary effect instead.
What Joanna did was brilliant, she worked with the muted colors as the overall selection and sneaked in splashes of colors; note how the mustard yellow repeats itself in the bookcases, on top of the desk, in the cable cord for the light fixtures and also used as an accent color on the barstool in the kitchen. Bri-lli-ant!

A creative work place always need a pair of beanbags – or it seems so lately. Beanbags are fun, creative and comfortable to sit on. Just the perfect casual seating for that 15 minute break.

Why this office works so well for us, is because of its simple design scheme, full attention to details as well as the interest in the ceiling. All in all, Joanna Laajisto has yet again executed a well rounded design, which we can’t stop admiring!
