During Stockholm’s Design Week I spotted a designer called Annie Granath where she was part of Familjen. After looking through her portfolio I saw this chair. Designed for the library in Gothenburg. This chair and its high frame creates an enclosure -the designer refers to it as a room- for the visitor who wants to sit down and escape in a book.

It is such a simple chair with reference to crafts, which creates a heartwarming and familiar feel. Together with the geometrical light wood frame it speaks serenity. I like this design, but I think it requires a specific interior setting to really shine. I particularly like it when there are more than one chair clustered together, like the above illustrate.
