Mix Of Historical & Contemporary Interior Details
Lately I am craving to see more spaces with historical objects and details. When it is mixed with more contemporary pieces I think it gives such a nice reminder of – our past but yet a reminder of where we want to head into the future.
The Imaginary Story
This is a space that captures the then and now in a very effortless and timeless feel. The open space and the historical objects on the wall gives the whole space a family-oriented feel, where memories are to be created and also to last.
I love the relaxed vibe that is going on through the leaned art and other decorative objects. Think it is such a great juxtaposition to the otherwise formal architectural details like the cornices, wall panels, and french doors.
Key Take Away
- Highlight any historical architectural details that you have in your space
- Use timeless furniture with a soft yet clean looking feel
- Amplify the historical feel with details such as historical prints, photos and portrays
- Use a mature and subtle color palette
