On The Wall: Photographer Oumayma B. Tanfous
Photographer Oumayma B.Tanfous, is a woman I have had my eyes on since I spotted her print in Jennifer‘s home, which led me to The Atelier Print. This particular print -image above- was simple in its own right. It oozed a sensitive and vulnerable feel that also evoked a feeling of mystery. I simply knew I had to find more prints and ask her about her inspiration and style. Little did I know that I was to talk to a photographer whose philosophy is similar to my own.
I always find it interesting to meet photographers after looking at their pictures, you feel that you already know them a little bit. Taking a picture can be a very intimate moment.” – Oumayma for DS210
Hearing her talking about that she feels like she knows a photographer after seeing their art is right up my alley. It is this connection that I seek and is probably why I like photos and other arts hanged -or leaned- on the wall. With that being said I am still always curios and keen to ask my two questions about inspiration and style…
Where do you find inspiration to your art?
How would you define your style?
Thank you Oumayma for sharing these words with us. I don’t know about you, but to me her words were inspiring. The main reason why I started this column was, because I wanted to emphasize and create a connection between photographers and the people…something Oumayma just inspired me to continue.
