Fredagsmys: At Auka In Barcelona Designed By Intsight

Even though there are a few more work hours of Friday I thought to wish you a nice weekend and Friday with some Fredagsmys. Today I am dreaming away for some retail therapy. I wish to drive to a random town in hope of finding some artistic looking retail spaces. Some spaces which inspire, feels joyful and a bit carefree.

Just like this shop called Auka in Barcelona designed by Intsight. Here the playful yet sophisticated herringbone flooring creates an inviting feel thanks to its pattern. The lightbulbs and displayed clothing gives it that carefree feel I am craving.

Fredagsmys is a Swedish word for the concept of comfort and relaxation. It has a different meaning to each Swede. It might involve the luxury of a glass of wine, candy, great food, company of your loved once, indulging in a book….. Well the imagination for what Fredagsmys means is endless and is all about ‘a feeling’.
