Interior Design Shops Online
Selecting the best interior design shops online and especially Scandinavian design online shops focusing on design, interior and art – was a way for us to effectively store some of our go to online shops. We have long been asked where we shop our home decor and where we find furniture products for our mood boards.
To us shopping online has a big advantage since it allows you to browse at your own time. Nowadays some shops even send samples to you prior to purchase to not miss out on the tactile experience which is a designers dream. We decided to help you to find the interior design shops online that we like and have therefor created our design book of shops which are highly curated online shops – all are shops that conveys our design studio’s style.

5 Tips For Using interior design Online Shops for Your Projects
Using Interior Online shops for your design project instead of the conventional shopping methods can both save time and money. Why do I say this? Time is of course saved as you get to shop and make decisions out of shop hours, but what about how to save money? When looking online for design shops it is much easier to find discounts and compare prices. The only disadvantage we see is of course getting that tactile experience of either sitting on your sofa or touching that velvet material that you oh so want for your headboard. There are some companies out there now who actually sends you samples beforehand which allows you to at least see and touch the material you are wishing for. Shopping larger pieces online might not be for everyone – if you have the time and are based in a location with amazing design shops then nothing beats visiting a real showroom for some inspiration, but for those who live more remotely (like us) and do not know how to find time except the late Sunday shopping times – online shopping for design could be for you. And we are not the only once who like to feel the comfort to shop our home decor stuff from home, Elle Decor is agreeing with us with their shopping guide.
NO 1
Look for Interior samples
Look for shops that send you samples beforehand. Like this you will not be disappointed with the color or the tactile experience. Even if they don’t advertise that they do give or sell samples – contact them to check if they have this service.
NO 2
Use Material Databases
Check out Materialist which lists all different materials – great for inspiration! If you are a designer, a design student or any one getting your hands of any interior projects you come across this is your Material Database online.
NO 3
Know How to Search
Understand how to Google your keywords like “best online shops” or “best online shops for design”. Another tip is to use “best online shops listed by blogs” as you will get a more personal view on different shops and might even find some discounts like that. Be creative!
NO 4
Have a Plan and Budget
Know what you are going to buy – easier said than done this part – before jumping in to the online shopping. The risk is otherwise that you exceed your budget and end up with items that you did not need. Use a traditional excel sheet to jot together your expenses after creating your product boards. Think quality for items for the pieces that you use on a daily basis.
NO 5
Check Delivery Terms
Check the delivery costs as some shops have different schemes depending where you are shipping to and how much you have to order to save some money on shipping. We have had mistakes – not checking this- which ended up being a costly affair.
