Friday Picks

Friday Picks | Design Studio 210

The sun is shining this morning so I could not resist but to take a look at some outside furniture. For there is nothing better than enjoying those hot summer evenings out on the terrace.

[From left to right] 1. This hand-woven plastic rattan from Ikea I could see myself unwinding in after a long day.   2. Hammocks, one day I will find a place to hang one of these!   3. A functional side table with a removable top which becomes a tray, yes please Ikea.   4. A footstool to the woven rattan from Ikea.

It is Friday friends…! I am celebrating with looking at products. Here are some I found and liked.

[From left to right] 1. This Led lamp from Ikea has an interesting shape.  2. Ok so I have stool fever after seeing this Castor Stool designed by Big-Game for Japanese company, Karimoku New Standard.  3. Wow…flower power in this planter called First Object by Jorge Diego Etienne and Savvy Studio.  4. Another light source that I find interesting from Ikea.

Weho Friday! Lately I have actually found so many products that I lo-ve a bit extra. It is probably because I am a bit consumed in finding the right pieces for a project as well as for my mood boards.

[From left to right] 1. I think I found my really wanna have clock…..the ‘Measure Time‘ from Taf.  2. Fish-net lamp, yes please! The ‘Fisherman‘ pendant or floor lamp from Taf just has that wow effect. 3. And then there is that Jardan ‘Bo‘ stool that I simply can’t stop adoring.

The list is a bit short today, but perhaps you can fill me in with some of your favourites this time?

Design Products

It has been awhile since I did a Friday Picks post; so here we go. Here are some goodies I found and updated my database with.

[From left to right] 1. Do I need to say how much I love this ‘log‘ light from Elisa Honkanen. The nice juxtaposition of a birch log and aluminum sits well with me. 2. This ‘Moire Weiss‘ lamp from the Fundamental Shop has such a nice feminine touch to it. 3. ‘Harry Low‘ in natural oak from Massproductions is that type of stool I would not mind staring at. 4. Another stool, can one have too many of them? This one is from Massproductions as well and is called ‘Albert Stool 50‘.

Now I am so curios to hear which products you have seen out there? Maybe you can help me to add some in my product database.

On The Wall: Typography

On the wall in the studio I would hang these posters by BB-KK. While working it could be a great reminder to see ‘Experience is the only thing that brings knowledge‘ gazing at me. Perhaps it would motivate and push me to take a leap of faith and seek new experiences.

When I feel stuck, which probably happends more often than not, a poster like the second one would be my moral support. It is the poster that would remind me that I am not alone and tell me to laugh at the matter instead…!
