What exactly defines an unconventional living space? Perhaps it is a space where new materials are used. It could also be where existing once are applied in a new manner. A designer who challenges and questions the perception of space could also be an attribute to this topic.

Here is a home where strand boards have been used as a dominate material choice. The boards oozes character and vibrancy. They help divide and organize the open space into a more intimate living zone.

I am curios to listen to your opinion on this. Would you call this home unconventional?

A home where family can play and entertain. To create an open feel the owners created “circular passages”.
I can clearly see these “passages” as the furniture are aligned like a central strip in the room. Around them is open air making the distinct living- and dining zone feel easily accessible.

What I like about this home is that it encourage social activity. It allows the family to interact even though they might have a busy lifestyle.
