A typewriter

I have had questions before from people on what I wish to get/buy. So here you go, two items that I have craved for a long long time :) Anyone who is kind enough to give me the following? :D

A typewriter...I recall sitting next to grandma when she used to work away on her typewriter. This seems like not too long ago....hmm wish she still had it...I am mesmerized with everything from the sound when typing, its simplicity and of course the font. When I hget one...I'll type a novel or continue to write poetry {well at least I can dream}. By the way, check out this Etsy shop .

A mannequin...why in the world is it so hard to find one that I like. I really have been looking for one for longer than 5 years and still haven't found what I want. In a way it doesn't really matter at this point since I don't have an office space yet and my hubby is terrified of mannequins {giggles} so I gave him my word that I will purchase one only if I have a studio space....{ what don't you do for love :p}

Oh lovely blog! And welcome to mine by the way:)

Answering to your question: I do want both objects too:P I though of buying on etsy.com a typewriter but with the postal tax it would be so expensive:/ And the mannequin, well, I haven't given up on it yet:P

Hey!!

Thank you sweet :)

HAhaha I know they are very expensive on Etsy. I have been wanting to buy one over here at an auction instead, just need to find one :P The one I showcased on the blog I think it's sold for around 500 USD, tons of money.

yesterday I actually found some nice mannequins while browsing blogs, now I can't remember where I found them hihi :)

(sorry)
firstly - hallo! i'm glad to meet other crazy typewriter-lovers like me :))
you can find LOTS of typewriters on flea-markets or in caritas-shops, i saw at least 4 two days ago. where? i'm in augsburg, germany. but try to check places like that near you..
ok, i agree, a piece like that pink one you've posted - it's a DREAM!!! (squeak!) if i saw one like this, i'de buy it right away allthough i've already got 2 typewriters :)

Thanks for the comment.

I am struggling finding a mannequin that's suiting my taste :)

Like you I am thinking about looking at an auction now during summer months :)

Oh wow you have got 2, that's cool :) Do you actually do alot of typing on them?

hey anna caroline,
oh yes, i DO use my typewriter a lot (one of them has got some problem with the ribbon (?), so i actually use only one of them).
i love the "analog" writing - in juxtaposition to the "digital" writing (computer), it's similar with analog and digital photography, and, as you perhaps noticed i'm a big fan of the analog photography..

actually i even think of buying another small typewriter at the charity-shop, it costs only 5 euro (!!), and since my little son is so keen on typewriting too, i could give him his own tyewriter, so he leaves the mine in peace :))
